A loving family in San Diego, CA (92122) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nanny to provide full-time, long term care for their 1 year old and soon to be infant, beginning September 2026.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide attentive care for 1 year old and support transition as the family welcomes infant in November.
- Wash and sanitize bottles, as well as handle children’s laundry as needed.
- Assist with grocery tasks, including loading and organizing groceries once per week.
- Maintain a clean and organized play environment by tidying and organizing toys.
- Prepare and serve snacks and meals for the child at home.
- Engage in active, hands-on play to support development and keep the child entertained.
- Maintain minimal phone use during working hours to ensure full attention and presence.
The ideal candidate is someone who becomes a natural extension of the family and is seeking a long-term role where they can grow with them. They are honest, trustworthy, kind, patient, loving, and consistent, bringing a calm and respectful presence to the home. Over time, they develop independence and the ability to anticipate the family’s needs proactively. They align with a gentle parenting philosophy, never using physical discipline, and instead support an environment where children are encouraged to ask questions and think independently.
Note: Multilingual (Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish) is preferred.
The family also has a small dog in the home.
Must be vaccinated (TDAP, TB, Flu)
Compensation: $35-40/hr (mileage reimbursement, other benefits tbd)
