A family in Los Angeles, CA (90039) is seeking an experienced full-time, long-term Nanny to provide primary care for their 9-month-old infant, with occasional care for their 7-year-old son.
Both parents are freelancers who work in production, and they are looking for a dependable, calm, and engaged nanny who can integrate seamlessly into their family and grow with them for years to come.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 3:30pm with some flexibility. Guaranteed 40hrs per week
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing attentive, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate care for an active 9-month-old infant
- Supporting feeding routines, naps, diapering, and age-appropriate sleep schedules
- Engaging the baby in enriching, sensory-appropriate play, movement, and outdoor time (weather and air quality permitting)
- Maintaining a calm, regulated presence in a sensory- and noise-sensitive household
- Providing occasional care and playful interaction with the 7-year-old when needed
- Supporting the older child with patience and awareness around sensory processing and auditory sensitivities
- Driving older child to and from school (family will provide a car seat and booster seat)
- Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children
- Performing light child-related cleaning and daily tidying (family has a weekly house cleaner for deep cleaning)
- Communicating clearly and collaboratively with parents regarding routines, milestones, and daily updates
The ideal candidate is grounded, calm, emotionally intuitive, and highly reliable. They are especially confident caring for infants and toddlers, understand the importance of structure and consistency, and are comfortable working in a sensory-sensitive household. They can balance being warm and engaging with knowing when to be quiet and unobtrusive while parents are working from home. Experience with neurodivergent children and sensory processing differences is strongly valued. Spanish-speaking nannies are highly preferred to support language exposure for both children.
Notes:
- No fragrances permitted in the home (including perfume, scented lotions, hair products, or laundry detergent)
- Screen time is allowed but limited
- Family is health-conscious and uses low-tox, non-harsh cleaning products
- Weekly street cleaning occurs; ample street parking is available
- Preference for a nanny with a commute of no more than 45 minutes
Requirements:
- Driving is required; the family prefers a confident, defensive driver (SUV preferred but not required)
- Comfortable working in a sensory-sensitive household
- Annual vaccinations required (including Flu and COVID)
Compensation:
$30/hr (W-2 preferred)
