A loving family in Los Angeles, CA (90039) is seeking a flexible and nurturing Nanny to provide short-term care for their 7-month-old, beginning as soon as possible.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM for 1-2 months. Then transitioning to Monday-Friday, 7:00/8:00 AM-3:00/4:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional weekend care.
This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of an extension.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide attentive, nurturing care while managing the baby’s daily schedule, including feedings, diaper changes, naps, and age-appropriate routines.
- Prepare and feed bottles, offer solid meals as appropriate, and ensure all nutritional needs are met throughout the day. Cooking family meals will become a responsibility once the position transitions to full-time.
- Follow and adapt to the baby’s evolving nap schedule, supporting healthy sleep habits and consistent routines.
- Engage the child in developmentally appropriate play, reading, sensory activities, and interactive experiences during wake windows.
- Maintain a screen-free environment and encourage learning through hands-on play, exploration, and caregiver interaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment by tidying baby areas and cleaning up after daily activities.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks and occasional meal preparation as time allows.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, dependable, and highly organized, bringing a positive attitude and reliable presence to the home. They have strong experience caring for infants and are confident supporting this exciting stage of development, including introducing solids through baby-led weaning. They are knowledgeable about infant nutrition, enjoy preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals, and create positive mealtime experiences. Above all, they provide attentive, nurturing care while fostering a safe, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment.
Note: The family has a German Shepherd mix dog in the home.
Must be vaccinated (TDAP, TB, COVID, Flu)
Compensation: $35-$40/hour (Holidays Off, 10 Days PTO, 5 Days Sick Time, Health Stipend once transitioned to full-time)
