A family in El Cerrito, CA (94530) is seeking a nurturing and motherly Nanny to provide short-term, part-time care for their 22-month-old, beginning April 27th.
Schedule: 25 hours per week – for 4 months (ending in September)
Monday: 8:30am – 1:00pm
Tuesday: 8:30am – 1:00pm
Wednesday: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Thursday: 8:30am – 1:00pm
Friday: 8:30am – 1:00pm
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Arrive and spend time engaging in play, then assist with dressing and preparing the child for the day.
- Pack lunch, milk, water, snacks, and diaper bag, and take the child on enriching outings such as walks, parks, splash park (weekly), and library programs.
- Return home around 12:00pm to serve lunch and maintain a structured routine.
- Facilitate nap time between 12:30–12:45pm.
- Clean up meals, wash bottles, and tidy play areas before departure at 1:00pm.
- Prioritize the child’s safety and engagement, while assisting with light household tasks during naps (e.g., laundry, organizing, and occasional sheet washing).
The ideal candidate is warm, gentle, and playful, naturally connecting with a child through affection and enthusiasm. She is comfortable with a physically affectionate child, offering hugs and warmth right away, and makes him feel genuinely seen, valued, and enjoyed. Someone engaging and attentive, showing a true interest in who he is and how he interacts with the world. With a naturally inviting and playful presence, she is able to build trust quickly and create a positive, joyful connection that encourages comfort, openness, and a strong bond.
Note: Nanny must be open to collaboration, as both parents work from home.
Must be vaccinated (Flu – when applicable)
Compensation: $30/hr (Holidays paid off, guaranteed hours)
